St John the Baptist

IIPImage is powering part of a special exhibition on the painting of Saint John the Baptist by Leonardo da Vinci organized by the Louvre Museum and the City of Milan. The exhibition web site features an IIPImage based interactive online application allowing the user to explore in unprecedented detail the high resolution scientific photography of the painting.

The new IIPMooViewer release has been featured in a story on Ajaxian.com. The multispectral visualization demo is also highlighted.

Major new version based on Mootools 1.2. This release includes many improvements including navigation buttons, a draggable navigation window and a loading progress bar. In addition, tile layers can be added to the view to allow image blending and for IIPMooViewer to be used to build advanced visualization applications. An example of such an application for multispectral imagery is available on the demo page.

Many thanks to Solas Nate of ArtConnectEd, a US-based project aimed at bringing museum collections online, who has ported version 1.0 of IIPMooViewer to Prototype/Scriptaculous. You can download it here.
